olly writes "This is just a note to say thanks to MX5-MODS for providing this service and all the members’ top tips that have been invaluable to me as I have been modifying my MK1. So in return I have some advice that I hope will help others. First never underestimate your local scrap yard I got lucky I found a new “less the front end” MK2 with silver air vent surrounds and MX5 door cills and with a bit of care these can be modified to fit the MK1 and the total price was less that £50 not bad next was Halfords they gave me all four ferono brake disks and pads for £133 “very cheep” and a silver gear stick surround £20. Last but not least a new hood £195 from www.carhoods.com and fitted it myself with help from a friend against the advice of the local garage it now look the dogs. so thats it good look to you all."
